Friends of GMPL Pantries

Donations are accepted to help maintain the pantry. The Friends will take items such as soap, toothpaste, shampoos, deodorants, cleaning products and more. Contributions sustain the pantry and can be dropped off at the Library. Take what you need, give what you can. The Friends goal is to make sure anyone in the community who is in need of items such as these, has easy and convenient access to these products. The Friends partner with both the Village of Grafton and Our Lady Queen of Peace to keep the pantries full.

The pantry is located in the vestibule of the Library and is open during Library hours for anyone in need.

Requests for the Personal Pantry:

  • Household cleaners, dishwashing liquid

  • Feminine Products – tampons, pads, liners

  • Shampoos, Conditioners

  • Deodorants, Body Wash, Liquid/Bar Soap

  • Dental products – Toothpaste/Toothbrush/Floss

  • Paper Products – Toilet Paper/Paper Towels

Donations can be placed directly in the pantry inside the library foyer.

The Friends partnered with the Village of Grafton to bring the first Free Pantry to our community. Our motto is: “Take what you need. Give what you can."

Food insecurity is a reality for many families today. Whether you have a need for food, or you have a desire to give, little pantries help neighbors feed neighbors in need.

You can visit the Pantry on Main Street to the right of the Library. If you wish to donate non-perishable items that are not out of date, you can drop off your items in the lobby of the Village Hall right across the street during regular business hours.

Some things to think about when donating food:

  • Canned/bagged tuna/chicken and crackers make a good lunch

  • Cake mix and frosting are a treat

  • No one thinks of salt and pepper, spices, or condiments

  • Tea bags and coffee are appreciated

  • Sugar and flour and cooking oil are good

  • Mac and Cheese requires milk and butter (hard to get at most food banks)

  • Hamburger Helper goes nowhere without meat

Donations can be placed directly in the pantry, or dropped at the Library or City Hall
