America 250 marks the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, a once-in-a-generation milestone that invites reflection on our nation’s history, ideals, and future. To celebrate this rare event, GMPL plans to host engaging programs each month, including historical lectures, book discussions, exhibits, and hands-on activities for all ages. These programs will highlight diverse voices and stories from America’s past while encouraging community conversations about civic life today. Through year-long programming, the library aims to serve as a welcoming hub for learning, dialogue, and celebration as we approach this historic anniversary.
