2021 Children Summer Reading & Recreation Challenge

2021 Children

  • For your desktop, visit the Library's Beanstack URL: gmplibrary.beanstack.org. For your mobile device, download the Beanstack app from your app store and search for Grafton-Midview Public Library.
  • Select "Register an Individual or Family" and follow the prompts to create your account.
  • The homepage will show you the available reading programs. Choose the one that is right for you. For children ages 3 to 11, choose the Children 2021 Summer Reading & Recreation Challenge.

For every hour of reading and for every activity, children earn a fun badge and a ticket to put towards a choice of prize! Children that read and log all 15 hours, just under 20 minutes a day, and complete all 22 activities earn even more chances of being a grand prize winner.

The Grafton-Midview Public Library is once again offering free, hot lunches to children, tweens, and teens (up to age 18). Lunch will be served at the Library Monday through Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. Some lunch sessions will include a STEM activity with Sally Hennessy of the OSU Extension Office of Lorain County.

We're offering a wide variety of virtual and in-person programming this summer! All programs require registration unless otherwise noted. Registration for summer programs begins on Monday, May 3. To register for programs, please visit our Events Calendar here. The health and safety of our patrons and staff is our top priority. Masks and social-distancing are required for all in-person programs.
