Managing Your Money During Uncertain Times Monday, October 12, 6:30 PM Join Christine Harder, Benefits Administrator for Ulmer & Berne, LLP, of Cleveland, via Zoom, as she discusses how to maintain your financial wellness during these uncertain economic times. Christine has 25 years of experience in 401(k) administration and 4 years in medical/dental plus life insurance benefits administration. Topics explored will include unemployment filing, budgeting, locating government and local resources, school lunch programs, and employer provided employee assistance programs. Virtual Wonder Book Club Thursday, October 29, 7 PM Please join us on Zoom for a lively and engaging online discussion of October's featured title Wonder by R.J. Palacio: Ten-year-old Auggie Pullman, who was born with extreme facial abnormalities and was not expected to survive, goes from being home-schooled to entering fifth grade at a private middle school in Manhattan, which entails enduring the taunting and fear of his classmates as he struggles to be seen as just another student. Registration is now required to receive the Zoom link for participating and is open until two days prior to the event. We will make book copies available for pickup at the Library (inside or through our contactless Take Out service) starting approximately one month in advance of the discussion date. Adult Programs Virtual Tech Support Thursdays, October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, 12 - 2 PM GMPL is offering virtual tech support via telephone, email, or Zoom weekly on Thursdays from 12 - 2 pm. Grab & Go Craft Kits Tuesday, October 6, 4 PM Everyone can get crafty with our Grab & Go Craft Kits! Kits are available for children, teens, and adults. All kits contain the instructions and most supplies needed to create a spooky-themed craft. Quantities are limited. Please visit the Library lobby to pick one up. Registration is required and you will need an email address to receive the link for Zoom. Spotify for Teens Join us on Spotify and enjoy several themed playlists curated by the teen librarian. Follow our channel GMPLTeenZone and like our individual playlists. Teen Instant Winner The Teen Zone is excited to announce our Teen Instant Winner program. Every month 10 books are randomly chosen as an instant winner book. If you are the lucky teen to check out one of the selected books, you will win a prize.
