Earn Volunteer Hours this Summer at the Library!
Are you a teen entering the 8th grade or above who wants to earn volunteer hours, build job skills, and be part of something fun this summer?
Join our Summer Reading Teen Advisory Board and help with our Summer Reading Program at the library!
We're looking for friendly, reliable teens to help with everything from decorating the department and setting up for our two Glow-Party Kick-Off events to registering readers, tracking and handing out beads, assisting with programs throughout the summer and celebrating at our end-of-summer Sno-Cone Day.
Shifts are 2 hours and run from May 27 to July 26. You only sign up for the times you can commit to - scheduling is done through the SignUp app.
As a volunteer, you'll gain experience with:
- Teamwork & Communication
- Customer Service
- Self-scheduling & Time Management
- Support library events for children and peers
Whether you earn service hours or just want to be involved, we'd love to have you on our team.
