Anime & Manga Society

Anime and Manga Society will host Manga author Halah Mohamed .

Halah is an author and illustrator living in Toledo, Ohio. Throughout her youth, she was fond of creating stories and drawing characters like those seen in her favorite anime. In 2006, she self-published her first manga-style graphic novel at the age of 14. Over the next eight years, she completed her major action-fantasy series, Kurokenshin, a stand alone romance, XYZ, and six books in her comedy-drama, With a Cherry On Top. Once her series was finished, she spent 4 years teaching English in Japan and honing her writing ability. Now, she is working on a novel series, the first book of which is set to debut in January of 2022. Though it is not a graphic novel, she continues to pursue artistic expression in animation and digital art.

Teens 12-18 or in grades 7-12. Registration is required.
