Virtual Music Production and Lyricism
Tuesday, May 4, 4:00 - 5:00 pm via Zoom
Ages 14-18
Make some music! Learn how to create original tracks through the art of beat making, song writing, and rhyming taught by some of the most talented and professional MC's and producers from NYC! BEAT Explorers is a music production and lyricism program that engages students in creative and technical aspects of storytelling through MC’ing/rapping, songwriting and original music production. Participants will learn how to create a basic beat using online music production software. They will then brainstorm ideas and words based on a theme before taking some time to write original rhymes/verses based on that theme. Volunteers will be asked to perform their creations live in front of the group followed by a round of constructive criticism and feedback from their peers. This is being offered through a partnership between the Grafton-Midview Public Library and the Elyria Public Library System.
