Tweens:
Signing Up
- Sign-up technically begins on Saturday, June 3rd, between 10-12, at the Touch a Truck event. The first 75 children will receive a drawstring bag and those that sign up at this event will receive a vehicle bead! Wow! (please “oooooo” now)
- SRP dates are June 5-July 22, 2023
- Children will sign up in the Youth Services area
- A staff member will fill out a Google Form with name, phone, email, etc
- If any drawstring bags are still available from the allotted 75 bags, we will use those first for sign-ups. Children will receive a bead necklace to begin the program
Beads
- Every 15 minutes a child reads or is read to will earn them one bead.
- Every hour the child reaches will earn a special bead AND a ticket for the prize boxes
- Listening to audiobooks counts
Children can do the game board multiple times, using a new board each time. The last day to receive tickets is Saturday, July 22, 2023. We will continue to give beads out the following week, or until we run out. Tickets will be drawn on Monday, July 24th, before opening, and winners will be notified. Print a game board from home if you need a duplicate. See below for the bee-day pdf.
